Willard Services manages kitchen remodeling for homeowners across Northern Virginia. The work is contracted for and performed by Virginia Total Contracting & Consulting, LLC (VTCC) under its Virginia Class A contractor license; we handle the scope, the schedule, the trades and the communication so you are dealing with one person rather than six.
A full kitchen is the most trade-heavy room in a house. A typical scope covers:
Two kitchens the same size can differ enormously in cost, and it usually comes down to how much moves. We tell you which of these you are in at the walkthrough, before you have spent anything.
Cabinets, countertops, tile, fixtures and appliances span an enormous price range, and a quote that hides them behind the word “allowance" is a quote that will change later. Ours states a real dollar figure for each selection category, so if you choose quartz over laminate you know the difference before you sign, not after. You are welcome to supply your own materials. We will tell you plainly if something you have picked will cause a problem during installation.

Electrical, plumbing and structural work in a kitchen requires permits, and permitted work requires inspections before it is covered up. VTCC files the permits and schedules the inspections with your building department — Fairfax County, Prince William County and the surrounding Northern Virginia jurisdictions — and the work is built to the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code. Unpermitted kitchen work has a habit of surfacing at the worst time: during a sale, a refinance, or an insurance claim. It is not worth the two weeks you would save.
The honest answer is that the schedule is driven by two things outside anyone’s control: how long your cabinets take to arrive, and how long the countertop fabricator takes after templating. Everything else we can sequence tightly. We give you a written schedule with the milestones and the known waiting points marked, and we call you when something moves rather than letting you find out by turning up to a quiet job site.
We will come look at your kitchen, measure, and tell you what your options are and roughly what each one means. No charge, and no obligation to use the estimate. (202) 890-1316 · [email protected]
